Ivar's Everett Seafood BarFor the first time since it opened in 1986, the Ivar’s Everett Seafood Bar at the corner of 41st street and Colby will be shutting down for a major remodel. Beginning Monday crews will completely renovate the restaurant with brand new dining booths and counter-height seating, new flooring, and custom tables and chairs for all dine-in guests. In addition, there will be a new soup display for Ivar’s world-famous chowders, as well as a fresh salad and sandwich station where salads will be hand tossed and sandwiches made to order. Ivar’s says they plan to update the overall aesthetics of the Everett location to include a clean, modern color scheme, new artwork, and what they describe as bold new outdoor signage.

In a press release sent to MyEverettNews.com the company says when Ivar’s Everett Seafood Bar reopens in early November there will be significant updates to the menu including: Fresh-Baked French Bread Bowls, True Cod Fish Sandwich, Grilled Salmon BLT, Crab Cake Sandwich, Fish Tacos, Asian Prawn Soba Noodle Salad, and fresh-baked Garlic Breadsticks and Cornbread Muffins. There will also be a Coca-Cola Freestyle drink machine that lets customers choose from more than 125 sparkling and still beverage brands at the touch of a button.

No exact date has been given for the re-opening but Ivar’s Seafood Bar at the Everett Mall is available for those in who need their classic Ivar’s Fish and Chips and don’t wish to drive to Marysville, Lynnwood or Mukilteo. You can follow the progress of the Ivar’s Everett Seafood Bar here.
