Comcast call center in Everett to expand

Dozens of jobs coming to Everett.

Comcast said today it would be adding employees to its Everett call center along with an expansion of call centers in Lynnwood and Fife. Steve Kipp with Comcast sent us the following note…

I wanted to let you know that Comcast today is announcing the expansion of its three Puget Sound area call centers in Fife, Lynnwood and Everett. The expansion will create approximately 180 new jobs, including 140 new positions between the centers in Lynnwood and Everett and 40 positions in Fife. Comcast currently employs approximately 1,300 call center employees in Washington state.

The additional jobs are part of an on-going call center strategy to align Comcast’s care facilities across the western half of the country into specialized Centers of Excellence, dedicated to serving customers with specific product and service needs. These centers will enable us to create areas of specialization and an enhanced customer experience. This means that customers will receive faster resolution the first time they call and interact with customer service experts who have the tools and resources to provide a great experience.

When all the positions are filled in the coming months, Comcast’s Fife call center customer service representatives will handle calls from Comcast customers throughout the West who want to order new services, while the call centers in Lynnwood and Everett will take calls from customers who need help with Comcast products and services, including cable television, high-speed Internet and phone service.

All new positions will be posted at www.comcast.com/careers
