Cascade High celebrates new running trackTo celebrate installation of a new synthetic running track at Cascade High School, current and former students will run an inaugural “Bruin Mile”. The run is set for 2:00pm at Cascade High School, 801 East Casino Road in Everett. Registration is set for 1:00pm and is open to the public. The running tracks at both Cascade High School and Jackson High were replaced over the summer after complaints by students, coaches and the public. The former tracks were made of cinder and had serious drainage problems. In May, the Everett School District voted to replace both tracks. Saturday’s event includes runs for elite runners, joggers and those who’d just like to walk around the new surface.
