8 Displaced in Early Morning House Fire in Downtown Everett
The Red Cross is helping 8 people displaced from an early morning kitchen fire.
Forty thousand dollars worth of damage but no injuries in a house fire this morning in the 2500 block of Wetmore in downtown Everett. Rick Robinson, Everett Fire Marshal, tells MyEverettNews.com that Everett Fire Department crews responded at 2:07 a.m. Arriving crews found smoke coming from the second floor of the two-story home and attacked a fire in the upstairs kitchen. All eight occupants of the residence escaped the fire without injuries. The Red Cross was called to help the residents. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation. The damage to the residence is estimated at $40,000.
