50 Year Old Everett Woman Struck by Police Car in Downtown Everett

An Everett Police car struck a 50-year-old woman as she was crossing the street this morning near the Everett Police station

(Editor’s note: 3:00pm update, the victim was 50 years old, not 60.) Got word this afternoon that a woman was struck by an Everett Police car as she was crossing the street early this morning. According to EPD Spokesman Aaron Snell just before 6:00 a.m., an Everett Police officer was responding to a priority 911 call when he collided with a pedestrian who was crossing the road in a marked crosswalk at Wetmore and Wall street right near the Everett Police station. Snell says the officer who hit the woman was responding to help another officer. The officer stopped and rendered assistance to the woman.

The Everett Fire Department was called to provide aid for the victim, a 50-year-old Everett woman, who was transported to Providence Medical Center -Colby Campus for non-life threatening injuries to her side and knee. Everett detectives are investigating the collision which occurred at a slow speed.
