Workers at Kimberly-Clark Cause Power Outage in Downtown Everett

July 25, 2012

Downtown Everett

Much of the downtown Everett core went dark this afternoon after demolition crews working at the Kimberly-Clark site accidentally caused a power outage. Neil Neuroutsos from the Snohomish PUD said a fuse or breaker was tripped and that left a swath of downtown Everett from the waterfront to around Rockefeller street in the dark. There were no reports of injuries though the Everett Fire department did receive a couple of calls of people stuck in an elevator. Power was out for about an hour between 1 and 2pm.
