A burglary in West Everett led to the arrest of two suspects early this morning. Everett Police Sgt. Ryan Dalberg tells My Everett News that Everett Police were called to a house off Mukilteo Boulevard shortly before 6:00am to a report of a burglary in progress. Two Everett officers arrived and found suspects in the house. The two suspects fled out of the house and stumbled down a 75 foot ravine between Howarth Park and Pigeon Creek. Officers had to have Burlington Northern stop train traffic thru Everett while they conducted a search for the suspects. A K-9 unit eventually found the suspects deep in a wooded area and Everett Fire brought in a high angle rescue team to get at least one of the suspects out. Both suffered injuries in their escape attempt and were taken to an Everett hospital before being booked into the Snohomish County jail on suspicion of burglary. Dalberg says police have recovered items from the burglary in the ravine.
