Wild Afternoon as Car Crashes into Wild Birds Unlimited Store in Everett
No one was hurt as a car crashed into the front of the Wild Birds Unlimited store at 4821 Evergreen Way in Everett Saturday afternoon. There were two employees, Jeanne and Susie who were working in the store when shortly after 3:30 a silver Lexus smashed into the front windows. “It made the most horrific sound,” said Jeanne. Susie told me a woman was driving the Lexus and just sitting in the driver’s seat looking shocked. She said the woman appeared uninjured. The store remained open as a tow truck was called to the scene to assist the Lexus out of the store. No word on what caused the driver to crash into the store. Jeanne says the owner told her this was the second time someone had driven into the front of her store. The first happened about ten years ago when the store was located on Whidbey Island.
