With new owners Karen Erickson and Gary Purves putting out lots of energy, publicity and a fair amount of blood, sweat and tears, expectations are high for the new season of the Everett Farmer’s Market on the Everett Waterfront. Here’s a preview provided by Karen…

On Sunday mornings for 19 years the Everett Waterfront transforms itself into a vibrant Farmers Market. Beginning early summer, amidst the backdrop of the gently rocking boats and scenic views of Port Gardner Bay, you will discover a world of many wonderful things.

When you stroll the boardwalk, you will immediately notice the fresh produce offered by local farmers, much of it organic. See and smell the fresh-cut flowers offered at a very reasonable price. Meet the diverse group of talented artisans offering a wide variety of handmade items that you’re sure to love. You may even find the perfect gift for that special someone. While wandering through the market, you will also come across many locally crafted gourmet food items. Follow the aromas of freshly prepared foods and enjoy a pleasant dock side lunch.

The market provides a wholesome family and pet friendly environment with live music and other activities. Please take the time to meet new Market Managers Karen Erickson and Gary Purves. Both Karen and Gary are committed to continuing the tradition of assembling and hosting a diverse and quality group of vendors at the Everett Farmers Market.

The Everett Farmers Market can be found at 1600 West Marine View Drive, next to the Marina Village in the Port of Everett. The market begins June 3rd and is open every Sunday until October 7th. Market hours: 11am to 4pm. Ample parking is available on the North side.

For the out-of-town visitor, accommodations are readily available along the waterfront. For current Everett Farmers Market information please visit the market’s web site: www.everettfarmersmarket.net.
