Everett Raptors Offer Free Indoor Football Tickets For Military Members Tonight

Kickoff is set for 7:05pm at Comcast Arena

As they battle for a playoff spot, the Everett Raptors indoor football team is keeping military members in mind. The team is offering free admission tonight to all military personnel with proper I.D. Here’s a preview of what to expect tonight…

Everett, WA.- The Everett Raptors will host the Colorado Ice on Saturday night at Comcast Arena at 7:05 p.m. PST. It’s an important game for both teams and their need to secure playoff positions. The Raptors are 4-7 after a huge win last weekend when they beat the Wranglers 74-73 in nail-biting overtime. They were tied at 66, Everett had the ball and Coach Ponder ran the game clock down to :01, called in the kicker to lock in the win but Kleckner missed the kick sending the game into OT. Everett won the coin toss, electing to give the ball to Allen first. The wranglers promptly scored and made the PAT. The Raptors followed by scoring on their possession and in a gutsy move, Head Coach Sean Ponder decided to go for 2 to lock in the win. Everett’s QB, Shane Austin, rushed 12 yds. for the score and the Raptors players and coaches stormed the end zone in celebration. Terrell T.O. Owens was aggressively beaten out by a tenacious Raptors defense and didn’t score a single touchdown, but caught (1) 2 point conversion pass.

This week will mark the second meeting of the Ice and the Raptors, the last meeting produced a 49-36 win for the Ice on their home field but this time the Raptors are looking to defend their 2 game winning streak and secure one of 4 spots in the playoffs. The Raptors are 69.25 points a game in the last 4 games since signing QB Shane Austin to replace Blake Bolles who went into mini camp with the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL, and the defense is performing at its peak so this could shape up to be a very exciting game.
