Unique 3-D images offer a glimpse into the future of the Boeing Everett Plant
Boeing today posted an article about the art of aerospace and offered a look into the future of 3-D mapping at the Everett Boeing Assembly Plant. There was one phrase in the article that may give pause to workers…“Boeing researchers envision a day when robots or people with handheld devices can scan an airplane and the manufacturing environment, and then compare the findings with design documents to safely dock and accurately position autonomous assembly machines.”
