Everett Police Lt. Robert Goetz has confirmed that searchers have located the boat that capsized off Jetty Island yesterday afternoon. Two men were aboard the boat and both went into the water. One man was rescued by boaters while the search continues for the other. Goetz said he didn’t believe that either man was wearing a personal flotation device.
The Seattle Police Marine unit is helping out with its side sonar scanning device and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office and Coast Guard are also assisting.
