Crews to Resume Search For Missing Boater Off Everett’s Jetty Island

Crews are again searching the area north of Jetty Island near the mouth of the Snohomish River for a man presumed drowned yesterday. The US Coast Guard, Everett Police and Fire, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Dive Teams and even the Seattle Police Marine Patrol spent hours yesterday searching for the man who reportedly was with another when their 12 foot boat capsized. A couple boating picked up one man in the water who was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center for treatment of hypothermia. He told rescuers the general location of where the boat went over. Today crews are using sonar equipment and visual methods to locate the missing man.
