Mudslides causing interruptions for Sounder train service

A mudslide on the tracks in Everett has cancelled Sounder train service between Everett and Seattle for at least 24 hours. You can however, get on the train at Mukilteo. Here’s the latest from Sound Transit…

Route: Sounder Everett-Seattle – Mudslide – Northline Sounder Thursday service update

All Sounder Northline service between Everett and Mukilteo is cancelled for both morning and afternoon trips on Thursday, February 23, 2012 due to a mudslide. However, there will be two trains (1703 and 1707) departing from Mukilteo Thursday morning at regularly scheduled times. Two trains will also depart Seattle (1702 and 1706) in the afternoon at regularly scheduled times.

Thursday morning service

• 1701 (5:45 a.m. Everett departure) cancelled
• 1703 (6:26 a.m. Mukilteo to Seattle) operates normal schedule starting to pick up passengers at Mukilteo
• 1705 6:45 a.m. Everett departure) cancelled
• 1707 (7:26 a.m. Mukilteo to Seattle) operates normal schedule starting to pick up passengers at Mukilteo
• Everett riders may board regularly scheduled ST Express Route 510 buses at Everett Station

Thursday afternoon service

• 1700 (4:05 p.m. Seattle departure) cancelled
• 1702 (4:33 p.m. Seattle to Mukilteo) operates normal schedule to Mukilteo
• 1704 ( 5:05 p.m. Seattle departure) cancelled
• 1706 (5:35 p.m. Seattle to Mukilteo) operates normal schedule to Mukilteo
• Everett riders may board regularly scheduled ST Express Route 510 buses at 4th & Jackson Street

This is subject to change if any more mudslides events occur.
