Everett woman spent hours outside before being found

Everett Police, Snohomish County Search and Rescue and Everett Fire worked together today to locate and rescue a 55-year-old Everett woman who walked out her house early this morning and ended up in a ravine near Everett’s water reservoir. According to Everett Police Sgt. Ryan Dalberg, the woman’s husband woke up this morning around 5:30am and found his back door open and his wife gone. The woman had previously walked away from the home last night in just a nightgown and bare feet. She was located by Everett Police at a neighbor’s house and returned home around 11:30pm. This time however the woman was not at the neighbors. Everett officers conducted a search of the area and then called out Snohomish County Search and Rescue. Around 9:00am, Search and Rescue crews located the woman in a ravine near her house. Everett Fire crews were called and with help of police and search and rescue, extricated the woman out of the ravine and transported her to Providence Hospital’s Colby campus. There is no word currently on her condition. Dalberg said it was a great outcome with several agencies working together in tough conditions. No word on why the woman had walked away from the home.
