Police Blotter

Detectives investigate the scene of today's burglary and shooting in Fir Grove nieghborhood.

Just a few weeks ago we told you about the Fir Grove neighborhood and the thousands of people who come thru to see the Christmas lights. Today the relative peace in that neighborhood was shattered after a homeowner surprised an apparent burglar inside his home. According to Snohomish County Sheriff’s Bureau Chief Kevin Prentiss, deputies received a call around 11:45am reporting a burglary and shooting near 105th and 21st Ave. Prentiss said the homeowner and suspected burglar got into some kind of confrontation and the homeowner fatally shot the suspect. Detectives from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Major Case squad are on the scene conducting an investigation. At this time there aren’t further details or identification on the suspected burglar.
