Everett Community College Kicks Off Annual Hi-Q Academic Quiz Competition

13 teams from local High Schools will compete for the Hi-Q Championship

Hi-Q, the annual academic quiz competition that pits the smartest students in Snohomish and Island County High Schools against each other, kicks off again this week. This year’s competitors include Archbishop Murphy, Arlington, Darrington, Edmonds-Woodway, Henry M. Jackson, Lakewood, Lake Stevens, Mariner, Meadowdale, Monroe, Mountlake Terrace, Stanwood and South Whidbey high schools.

Last year’s champion was Monroe High School. Of all schools competing this year, Arlington High School has the most wins, earning the championship six times.

Regular season matches are scheduled for January, February and March with semi-finals April 16 and finals April 19.
