Carl Gipson was present as his son presided over the meeting as City Council President
Okay, it was actually swearing-in as four council members took their oaths of office prior to the start of the first Everett City Council meeting of 2012. There were no new faces joining the council as all four incumbents won re-election this past November. With family looking on Ron Gipson presided over his first meeting as new City Council President. Gipson provided a bit of trivia as he told the audience that Judge Joe Wilson, who administered the oath of office last night, has now sworn in the Mayor and all members of the current Everett City Council.
