January 3, 2012

Police Blotter

According to Everett Police, the 42-year-old man shot in the head by his wife last Thursday night was taken off life support Saturday and died from his wounds. On Friday the wife refused to come to her probable cause hearing. Today a judge found there was probable cause to hold her in the Snohomish County Jail on $500,000.00 bail for suspicion of 2nd degree murder. The Snohomish County Prosecutor’s office has until tomorrow to file formal charges or the woman will be released. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner has not yet released the man’s name and since the woman has not been formally charged, we aren’t releasing her name here. The couple was married and according to the probable cause papers prepared by Everett Police had lived in the 2500 block of Chestnut Street in Everett for about four months.
