Everett Fire Battling Stubborn Blaze at Storage Complex

December 24, 2011

Everett Fire

Shortly before 7am Everett Fire crews were called to The Storehouse mini storage complex at 3816 Smith Avenue. According to Everett Fire Chief Murray Gordon the fire looks to be in a storage locker chock full of household items. Firefighters have been opening lockers and pulling out items in order to get to the flames but Gordon says its slow going. So far the fire is still at one alarm but all on duty crews in the city are here and additional units are being brought in to cover calls in the city. It does sound like one firefighter was briefly trapped under debris when it fell. No reports of injury yet.
