South Everett Holiday Shopping Traffic in Virtual Gridlock

If you have to travel thru or around the South Everett area, good luck. The I-5 freeway is moving fine in both directions but the major roadways including Everett Mall Way between the mall and SR 526 on the east and all along Everett Mall Way west to Evergreen Way are extremely busy. 19th Avenue SE from Eastmont to Silver Lake is also near a standstill as is 112th street between 19th Ave. SE and 7th Ave. SE. If you’re still out Christmas shopping, bring plenty of patience and remember that 7-11 stores are open Christmas Day and Slurpees and beef jerky make gifts that people will talk about all year-long.
