Everett Art Teachers Become Featured Artists

an example of Cynthia Gaub's work

Two local Everett School District art teachers are the featured artists this month at “Stuff What I Like” in downtown Everett. Greg Stair teaches art at Everett High School. “The idea of creating work that people find interesting has been a life-long dream,” said Stair. “After nearly seventeen years of teaching art at the high school level, I now find myself embarking on a new journey into the world of producing art for the public.”
Cynthia Gaub is the art and technology teacher at North Middle School and was named 2009 Middle School art teacher of the year by the Washington State Art Educators Association. “My favorite part of working on windows is the stain glass effect they have when light is cast behind them,” said Gaub. “Over the years my work and identity as an artist has solidified to what I believe is a cohesive body of work and a definitive style.”

The portraits of both artists are on display thru December and will be featured during tomorrow’s Saturday Art Walk. Stuff What I Like is located at 2915 Colby in downtown Everett.
