Everett Woman Killed Crossing Highway 99 Last Night

The Washington State Patrol has identified the woman killed in a car-pedestrian accident last night as 55-year-old Angela Hernandez of Everett. According to a State Patrol media release, Ms. Hernandez was trying to cross highway 99 from the west to the east just north of the Royal Casino in the 12900 block of Highway 99 when she was struck by a northbound BMW driven by a 22-year-old Everett man. The accident happened about 10 minutes before 10pm and shut down northbound 99 for several hours. Troopers say that drugs and alcohol were not involved and there were no arrests. Charges are not expected.
