Everett Police Drawing of Rape Suspect

Everett Police today released a sketch of a man suspected of attacking a woman early Wednesday morning. Everett Police spokesman Robert Goetz tells My Everett News that at about 5:30 a.m. that morning officers responded to the 900 block of SE Everett Mall Way for a reported rape. The victim, a 41-year-old Everett woman, told officers that she had just arrived for classes at Everest College, parking her vehicle in the south parking lot of the business complex.

When she got out of her car a man holding a knife forced her to a secluded area of the parking lot and raped her. The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic male in his 20’s, about 5’10’, 250 pounds with a long skinny pony tail and round face. He was wearing blue jeans and a black and gray puffy jacket.

After the attack the suspect fled on foot through the woods. The victim waived down a passing motorist who called 911 and stayed with victim until police arrived.

Containment was set up with the assistance of the Snohomish County Sheriffs deputies with an Everett K-9 conducting a search for the suspect. Unfortunately the suspect was not located.

Goetz says there have been no other recent incidents of stranger rape reported to Everett PD in this area.

Above is a sketch of the suspect. If anyone can identify this suspect or if they have any information regarding this case they are encouraged to call the Everett Police Department TIP LINE at (425) 257 – 8450.
