Everett Police Car Totaled Responding to Armed Robbery Call in South Everett

An Everett police officer responding to an armed robbery call in South Everett was the only one involved in this accident on Everett Mall Way just south of the Boeing Freeway. According to Everett Police Lieutenant John DeRousse the officer was responding to an armed robbery call at the Rite Aid on SW Everett Mall Way shortly after 7pm when he lost control of the police car. The car ended up in the ditch on the west side of Everett Mall Way. No other vehicles were involved and the officer didn’t appear to have been injured. Lt. DeRousse says the officer was taken to an Everett hospital to be checked out as a precaution. Traffic investigators on are the scene trying to determine what caused the car to lose control. Traffic is getting by and there are no delays.
