747 and 787 Deliveries Picking up at Boeing Everett Plant

October 13, 2011

Everett Economy, Everett Jobs

As soon as it was delivered yesterday, Cargolux first 747-8 went to Sea-Tac to load up and start earning.

Some more signs of life in the jumbo jet delivery department at Everett’s Boeing plant. Not only did Cargolux take delivery of its first 747-8 yesterday but they took a second one this afternoon and a second 787 was delivered today to All Nippon Airways. Jon Ostrower has a story in his Flightblogger blog today about the progress of the first 787 for United Airlines and a very cool picture of it being taken to the paint hangar. Things are looking up at year end for Boeing as orders for planes being manufactured and assembled in the Everett Plant in 2011 have topped the century mark. The Renton factory has more than 300 planes on order for this year.
