Everett Built 777 pushes total Boeing Orders for 2011 to 382

Today’s announcement of orders for 8 more 777s (built only here in Everett), are bringing Boeing’s total net orders for the year closer to the 400 mark. So far in 2011 there have been 118 orders for the 777. That makes them the number 1 model for Everett built planes ordered this year. The 737, built in Renton, tops Boeing’s orders for 2011 with 270 orders so far. That’s followed by 13 – 767s, 7 – 747s and a net loss for the year of (negative -20) – 787s. Boeing says so far their net orders for 2011 stand at 382. Click here to see a chart of who is recorded as ordering what from Boeing thus far this year. Boeing continues to hire at a rapid pace for the Everett plant making them truly the current bright spot in Everett’s economy.
