Everett City Council Fundraising Update. So Far 3 of 4 Challengers Raising More Than Incumbents

A month ago we checked into the State Public Disclosure Commission Database to see how fundraising was going for the four positions on the ballot for Everett City Council. Here’s an update as of today. Shannon Affholter is still leading all candidates with $14,375.00 in contributions. He’s spent $2,659.68. His opponent in the race for position 7, Jackie Minchew, has no reported contributions or spending listed. As for the other races…In position 4, June Robinson lists $8,862.19 in contributions and $5,701.66 spent while the incumbent, Ron Gipson, shows contributions of $3,450.00 and $695.00 in spending. For position 5, Erv Hoglund lists contributions of $8,898.12 with spending showing as $3,645.63 while the incumbent, Drew Nielsen, shows $7,050.55 in contributions against $879.75 spent. In position 6, challenger Scott Bader lists $4,815.00 in contributions with his spending at $3013.11 as incumbent Brenda Stonecipher, shows just $500.00 in contributions with no spending thus far. Get ready to see a lot more activity as the primary election results will be finalized Tuesday and the General campaign season gets into full swing.
