Original Roadhouse Grill at 117th and Airport Road is now closed and the building for lease.

Opened in 2007, the Everett location of the Original Roadhouse Grill recently closed its doors. A letter taped to the front doors of the restaurant provided the following explanation…”The economic conditions of the past two years have resulted in a level of negative sales and negative profits which prohibit us from continuing to operate this particular location.” The Federal Way location has also closed and the letter invites customers to eat at their locations in Oregon or California. The building is now currently for lease.

How does a restaurant have “negative sales” and “negative profit”? Negative sales might be when food was removed from the restaurant without paying for it OR “the business was closed because we wanted to make a profit and not to give food and drinks away”. Negative profit could be explained by stating “cost of business operations were higher than sales in the monthly “profit and loss statement” for the business. Ive seen negative sales, when you have more items returned than sold. Doubt anyone returned steaks unless they were burnt to a crisp, then you would have another example of in their words “negative profit” which is actually a “loss” by most business standards.
