Badges for Baseball Hits a Home Run in Everett

Boys and Girls from all over Everett are learning life lessons and baseball skills this week at Kasch Park

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Snohomish County, Everett Police and the Cal Ripken Senior Foundation have teamed up to present Badges for Baseball this week at Everett’s Kasch Park. Back on July 26th we first told you about Ed Gay from the Snohomish County Boys and Girl’s Club and Officer Mark Carter from Everett Police, working with the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation to bring Badges for Baseball to Everett. Since Monday, 200 kids aged 8 – 14 have been going thru hitting and fielding drills, playing games, forging friendships and learning about healthy choices. The Mukilteo School District is providing meals for the kids and dozens of volunteers are helping put on the event. You can check out the photo gallery below for pictures from today. The event wraps up tomorrow afternoon.
