Everett Police Assisting with Deputy Involved Shooting at 164th and I-5

The overpass at 164th street at I-5 is completely shut down following reports of a shooting involving a Snohomish County Sheriff’s Deputy. It occurred around 5:40 am. No details on what happened but the Deputy appears okay. I-5 is open but all access to 164th street over I-5 is currently restricted. Everett will likely lead the SMART (Snohomish Multi-Agency Response Team) investigation as the shooting involved an SCSO Deputy. Expect the overpass at 164th to be shut down for hours and few if any details to be released as the investigation is just getting underway.
