Everett bus shelters coming back

Cover is on the way for Everett Transit riders

Last night the Everett City Council approved spending $96,751.20 for 30 bus shelters from Handi-Hut in Clifton, New Jersey. The city has been removing shelters that have been damaged or were in the way of the new Sound Transit Shelters for Swift Rapid Transit. That’s been bad news for people waiting to take an Everett Transit bus given our extremely wet weather this year. Handi-Hut’s bid came in more than $12,000.00 under budget, so hopefully the city can use the savings to speed up the installation of the shelters at Everett Transit stops around the city.
