South Everett Car/Pedestrian Fatality Victim Identified

July 4, 2011

Everett, Police Blotter

The State Patrol has identified a woman struck and killed in a car-pedestrian accident Sunday night as Janelle L. Gallagher, age 57 from Kenmore. According to a press release from WSP, Gallagher was crossing Highway 99 about 100 yards south of Airport road when she was hit by an Everett man driving a Kia Sedona. She apparently was crossing from the west to the east, had made it across the southbound lanes and was struck in the northbound lanes. She was not in a marked cross walk. The State Patrol says drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors and there likely won’t be any charges against the man driving the car. The accident happened around 11:13pm.
