The State Department of Transportation has sent out a reminder of more nighttime closures to the off ramps at 128th and I-5 just south of Everett…
The following closures are scheduled:
- Monday, June 27 – Crews will close the southbound I-5 off-ramp to 128th Street SW from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for signal work. Drivers will follow a signed detour using southbound I-5, 164th Street SW and northbound I-5.
- Tuesday, June 28 to Thursday, June 30 – Crews will close the southbound I-5 off-ramp to 128th Street SW from and the southbound I-5 on-ramp from 128th Street SW from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday nights for grinding and striping work. Crews will provide a signed detour for the off-ramp closure using southbound I-5, 164th Street SW and northbound I-5. The on-ramp detour will use northbound I-5, Everett Mall Way, and the westbound SR 527 ramp to southbound I-5.
- Crews will also close up to two lanes of 128th Street SW near I-5 Monday through Thursday nights. Closures will start at 9 p.m. and all lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning.
This work is part of the $23 million I-5 – Southbound Off-ramp to 128th Street SW project. Crews are adding a second left-turn lane on the off-ramp to 128th Street SW to improve traffic flow and reduce backups on the ramp. [ad#Google Adsense]
