Since 1997, the discharge of any type of fireworks without a permit has been illegal within the Everett city limits.  The are only two permits that will be issued within the city for Fourth of July. One for the Thunder on the Bay Fireworks Show over Port Gardner Bay at 10:20pm and the other for the Everett Aquasox annual show after their game against the Salem-Kaiser Volcanoes. Every other firework is illegal in the Everett City limits including so-called “Safe and Sane” items, sparklers, heck even those silly little black snakes. In years past, Everett Police and Everett Fire have had crews going around the city confiscating fireworks and writing tickets. No word yet on extra patrols this year but it is likely. Here’s a brochure Everett Police put together to explain in great detail about Fireworks being illegal in Everett.
