How to prevent the spread of E. coli

I had a chance to talk with Gary Goldbaum, Director of the Snohomish Health District, about the E. coli problem at the Forest Park Animal Farm. In less than two weeks, four people including an animal farm employee and two children were sickened by E. coli with one child hospitalized for three days.  He tells me what happened and how it can be prevented. Click on the link below for the video of the conversation.

If you look closely at the tie Dr. Goldbaum is wearing, you’ll see its a sampling of all kinds of viruses and bacteria. In his line of work it must help to have a sense of humor.
