Short Term Pain for Drivers into Everett on I-5

June 13, 2011

Everett

Starting tonight there will be some nighttime lane closures on I-5 between Marysville and Everett. The Department of Transportation plans to install new cameras and traffic sensors to improve the level of information they are providing commuters into Everett from the North. In addition, beginning July 11th the DOT will be repaving the stretch of Southbound I-5 between Marysville and Everett to smooth out the bumps and lousy pavement that brings traffic to a slowdown for no apparent reason. So a little pain now should bring a big improvement to I-5 between Everett and Marysville by the end of summer.
