Tonight marks the first of 65 nights of full closures of the westbound Hewitt Avenue trestle between 7:30pm and 5:00am. After tonight’s closure, the regular schedule will be nightly shutdowns Sunday – Thursday for the next 13 weeks with final completion sometime this winter. Detours include Sunnyside Blvd. to Marysville and onto I-5 at 4th street or Highway 9 to Cathcart Way and then west to I-5 at 128th street. You can also take the Lowell-Snohomish River Road into Everett but watch out for traffic safety enhancement activity (aka speed traps).
