Everett Haz-Mat Scare Just a Mis-Labeled Lunch

lunch, not liquid nitrogen

It turns out that a lunch cooler that a worker had put a liquid nitrogen sticker on to keep prying eyes away, led to today’s closure of West Marine View Drive and Hewitt Avenue. According to Everett Fire, someone found a cooler labeled liquid nitrogen in the major  street leading to the Port of Everett, Naval Station Everett and the waterfront. The cooler was closed and secured with a bungee cord. Everett Fire sent a full Haz-Mat response and streets in the area were blocked off. Once Haz-Mat crews were able to look into the cooler they found it was apparently someone’s lunch that had fallen off the back of a truck. Next time maybe just a keep your hands off my lunch sticker would do.
