fall elections in Snohomish County

Still no challenger for Everett City Council President Shannon Affholter in this fall’s election. Affholter, who earlier this year said he wasn’t going to run, changed his mind last month and filed for re-election. The three other incumbents on the Everett City Council are facing challengers. Nothing new in the Snohomish County races as all of the county-wide positions have the incumbents un-opposed. In the county council races, Brian Sullivan still has no opponent and Stephanie Wright is being challenged by Kathy Vaughn. Richard Okrent is unopposed thus far for Superior Court Judge while no one has filed for Snohomish County Executive. I ran into Aaron Reardon yesterday and he told me he’d been too busy working to file and will do it from home sometime this week.
