If you or someone you know likes airplanes, this event is for you. The 16th annual General Aviation Day at Paine Field in Everett offers something for everyone. There’s a Firefighters Fly Day 5K run at 8:00am, a pancake breakfast benefitting the Burn Recovery Foundation beginning at 9:00am, local aircraft, vintage aircraft and warbirds will all be on display as well as some classic sports cars. There will be fly overs by vintage aircraft as well. Click here for a full rundown of the day’s events. In an effort to get kids interested in aviation, the Washington Pilots Association is offering free flights for kids aged 8 – 17. You can sign up at the event but will need to get there early as slots go fast. If you’re not into airplanes, you’ll also find food booths, live music and great people watching. Admission and parking are free with easiest access on the west side of the airport off the Mukilteo Speedway.
