Everett City Council Unanimously Approves 15′ Tall Lighted Crosses at Providence Colby Campus
Providence Colby Campus opens June 14th
The Everett City Council last night unanimously approved (with members Gipson and Hatloe absent) the placement of three 15 foot tall crosses on the North, East and South sides of the towers at the new Colby Campus of Providence Regional Medical Center. The new towers will open in 25 days and the hospital successfully argued, over the objections of a couple of neighbors, that the illuminated crosses would act as way-finders for people trying to find the hospital. The hospital noted that more than 60 percent of the patients who come to the hospital’s Colby Campus are from a city other than Everett.
