Police Blotter

More details coming in on a wild night for Everett Police. From what we’re hearing it all started in downtown Everett at 33rd and Rucker when an Everett Police Office tried to make a traffic stop. The suspect brandished a weapon and an Everett police Officer fired at the car which took off. That was around 11:15pm. Around 11:20pm an Everett Police sergeant spotted the car in South Everett and followed the suspect into the 112th Street Park and Ride. The suspect reportedly fired at officers, pulled out of the Park and Ride and went west on 112th street to the Colby Creek apartments where he abandoned the car out front and rain into an apartment complex. A K-9 tracked the suspect to a specific apartment where the 25-year-old man was taken into custody. Police are now working three crime scenes. 33rd and Rockefeller, the 112th Park and Ride and the 900 block of 112th street SW. Because an Everett Officer was involved in the shooting, the SMART team will be handling the investigation and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office will be handling the release of information.
