Everett is looking for firefighters, but you must have prior paid experience.

The deadline for submitting an application is coming up on Monday May 16th. There are a whole bunch of requirements and you can see them all by clicking here.

The City of Everett employs six (6) engine companies, one (1) ladder company, one (1) swing engine ladder, (3) ALS medic units and one and one half (1.5) BLS Aid units when staffing allows.  There are six (6) fire stations located throughout the city.  There are currently 176 uniformed firefighters employed.  In 2010 the Department responded to over 16,000 EMS Alarms and over 2000 other alarms.

Here’s a fun fact. Everett Fire Chief Murray Gordon has been a referee at area High School Football and Basketball games for more than a decade.
