Everett Flushed With Pride Over Utility Rates

Everett has maintained some of the lowest utility rates in the Puget Sound

The Everett City Council recently voted to issue up to 51 million dollars in bonds to pay for maintaining and extending Everett’s water and sewer system. I thought the presentation by the Public Works Department was enlightening as it showed that customers in Everett have traditionally paid less (in some cases much less) than their counterparts in other Puget Sound cities for water and sewer service. Even as annoying as it is having the streets dug up to replace pipes, you can’t just flush and forget or turn the handle and hope, all that good stuff needs to be maintained.
