According to a recent filing, Art and Marianne Skotdal, have turned over control of SR Broadcasting, parent company of KRKO to their sons, Andy and Craig Skotdal. Click Here to see the legal notice.
Art Skotdal originally bought KRKO in partnership with local car dealer Roy Robinson back in the late 80s. He later bought out Roy’s interest and now has apparently turned it over to the next generation. The Skotdals apparently never found out who took a backhoe and toppled their towers back in September of 2009 and there’s still a $25,000.00 reward being offered. I understand work still continues on their attempt to add a second radio station at AM1520 on the dial. No word yet when that may happen.
