EPD has made another arrest in the murder of Luis Verduzco.
On April 24, 2012 the body of Luis Verduzco was found behind a vacant house at 22 Madison street in Everett. Today Everett Police Spokesman Aaron Snell issued a press release announcing officers have made another arrest in the case. Snell wrote: “After completing their investigation, detectives developed probable cause to arrest Martin Salazar, a 33 year-old man from Monroe. The Everett Police Anti-Crime Team generated leads which led to Salazar’s location on the night of February 22, 2013. He was arrested without incident and booked into Snohomish County Jail on Murder 2nd degree charges.” This was the 4th arrest in this case which police say was drug related.

Everett Police say they have located the third and final suspect in the murder of Luis Verduzco last month. His body was found dumped in a yard on Madison street in Central Everett. The Medical Examiner determined he’s been stabbed to death. Earlier this month, Everett Police arrested two women in connection with the case. The third suspect is a man who was arrested in Bellingham on a shoplifting charge and reportedly gave arresting officers there a false name. Once they discovered his true identity, they contacted Everett Police regarding the homicide investigation. Everett PD says the case does appear to be drug related.

EPD has made an arrest in the death of Luis Verduzco.
Everett Police Lt. Robert Goetz has confirmed that an arrest has been made in the murder of 23-year-old Luis Verduzco. His body was found in the yard of an empty house at 22 W. Madison on April 24th.
According to a press issued by Goetz this morning, the suspect arrested is a 27-year-old Bothell woman. Detectives developed information that the suspect and two others planned to rob the victim of drugs. The suspect and her accomplices’ allegedly picked up the victim in a car and attempted to steal his drugs. When he resisted the suspect stabbed Verduzco and then pushed him out of the car.
Investigators learned that the suspect was staying in an apartment in the 6700 block of Fleming in Everett. When they went there they found the suspect and arrested her without incident. After an interview with detectives the suspect was transported and booked at the Snohomish County Jail on the charge of Murder 1st degree.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s office this morning identified the man found dead in the yard of an Everett home this week as 23-year-old Luis Verduzco of Everett. The Medical Examiner says he died as a result of a stab wound to the trunk. Everett Police Detectives are looking into the likelihood that the assault that caused Luis’s death occurred at a different location than where he was found.
A photo of the victim is attached in the hopes that someone who knows him or who may have seen him in the last four or five days will contact Everett detectives and help in the efforts to solve this homicide.
