Monday, October 10 is the deadline to register online and to update an existing registration in time for the Presidential Election. Due to the Columbus Day postal holiday, mail in registration forms will be accepted as long as they are postmarked on or before October 11. Registering to vote is easy. You can register:

Online at www.vote.wa.gov,

By mail; or in person at the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office.

Mail-in voter registration forms are available at www.vote.wa.gov, local libraries, post offices, and the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office.

The Auditor’s Office is located on the first floor of the Snohomish County Administration West Building, 3000 Rockefeller Avenue, Everett, and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Auditor’s Office will be open normal business hours on Columbus Day, Monday, October 10.

If you are already registered but have recently moved or changed your name, be sure to update your registration online, by mail, or in person by October 10. You can check your current voting status at www.vote.wa.gov.

If you have never registered to vote in Washington, you can register after October 10 in person at the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office through Monday, October 31. The Auditor’s Office will have additional office hours Saturday, October 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be open until 6 p.m. on Monday, October 31. In order to register to vote in the state of Washington, you must:

  • Be a United States citizen;
  • Have lived in Washington state for at least 30 days;
  • Be at least 18 years old by Election Day;
  • Not be disqualified due to a court order; and
  • Not be currently under Department of Corrections supervision for a felony conviction.
