A man and woman found out the hard way that hanging out in a stolen car behind an open business isn’t the best move if you want to stay out of jail.

An Everett officer discovered the couple in a stolen Honda around 10:30 this morning in the 6300 block of Evergreen Way.

The officer called for backup and held them with a taser until backup arrived.

The two were taken into custody with the man booked into the Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle and drug charges while the woman was booked for suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle.

Everett Police were able to locate the owner who came and identified a bunch of property that that was found in the car that didn’t belong to him.

Detectives are expected to follow up to see if the couple may have been committing other crimes while they had the stolen car.
