Dig shows like CSI, Bones, and NCIS? Read a lot of mysteries and crime fiction? Now’s your chance to go behind the scenes with a real forensic pathologist as your guide!

Dr. Carl Wigren takes us deep into the world of autopsies and crime scenes at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 17 in the Everett Public Library Auditorium, 2702 Hoyt Avenue in Everett. There is no charge to attend.

Dr. Wigren’s humorous and frank presentation—using volunteers from the audience to participate in a mock crime scene and autopsy—will keep attendees on the edge of their seats and maybe even launch a medical career or two.

This informative and interactive presentation will:
· Detail what a forensic pathologist actually does
· Examine several “crime scenes,” using science to solve unexplained deaths
· Explain what happens during an autopsy

Dr. Carl Wigren is a licensed physician and board-certified in Anatomic Pathology and Forensic Pathology. As an avid scientist and former educator, he places high value on educational outreach to the local community.
